Welcome to the Adult Education (Title II) WIOA Data Outcomes Dashboard (Beta release)

The mission and vision of adult education is to provide every individual in Illinois access to Adult Education and Literacy services. In Illinois, more than 1.15 million adults have less than 12 grades of formal education, approximately 2.8 million Illinois residents speak a language other than English in their home, and more than 350,944 immigrants reside in Illinois. Adult Education services create learning opportunities that align with statewide education, training, and employment strategies to ensure all adult learners have access to and success across services that are cohesive, coordinated, and innovative to promote better economic opportunities, greater equity, and sustainable career pathways.

This site is intended to promote Adult Education program improvement and advance dialogue and discussion about enrollment and performance for the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act of 2014 (WIOA). The current dashboard available via the link below is an initial beta release designed to provide an overview of state, regional and program specific data.

Under WIOA and as a part of the National Reporting System (NRS) for Adult Education from the Office of Career, Technical and Adult Education (OCTAE), Adult Education programs across the country are required to report enrollment and performance outcomes annually. Enrollment data is reported by participant gender, race/ethnicity, age group and educational functioning level. In addition to overall enrollment by disaggregated groups, data is also reported by the rates of students showing progress toward improving academic and English language skills. Performance data is reported for students who exit from programs to evaluate post-exit employment rates in the 2nd and 4th quarter after exit and median wage earnings in the 2nd quarter post-exit. Additionally, the credential attainment rate for participants is evaluated.

The beta release of the Adult Education dashboard has not been publicly released or posted directly to any publicly accessible ICCB webpages while AE programs review and provide initial feedback. Access is only available through the direct link to the webpage. The direct link to the beta release is available at Adult Education Dashboard – V20230531
