As required under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunities Act, the draft 2020 Unified State Plan has officially been released for public comment. The Public Comment Period will extend for 30 days beginning today, January 10, 2020.

The WIOA Unified State Plan is designed to provide a vision of the Governor’s integration of workforce, education, and economic development policy while also serving as a federal compliance document for the United States Departments of Labor and Education under WIOA. The Unified State Plan outlines the vision, principles, and goals for the integration of workforce, education, and economic development programs for the State of Illinois.

Public comments on the Unified State Plan may be sent to CWD-wioaplan@ad.siu.edu and will be accepted through February 9, 2020. The Plan draft will be housed on Illinois workNet at the following location for the duration of the Public Comment Period:
