Definition:
Credential seeking CTE student who:
- (1) within one fiscal year earns at least 12 academic or CTE credits within a single program area sequence that is comprised of 12 or more academic and technical credits and terminates in the award of an industry-recognized credential, certificate, or degree; or
- (2) completes a short-term CTE program sequence of less than 12 credit units that terminates in an industry-recognized credential, certificate, or degree.
- (3) CTE concentrators are preparing for a future job immediately after attending the community college or are participating in higher education to improve their skills for their current employment.

Career and Technical (PCS 1.2) program major – based on Student Curriculum Prefix and Number – A1 Item 16, Columns 46-54 and
- Earn 12 or more credit hours within the specified year – based on All Credit Generating Hours Earned by Term at Your Institution – A1 Items 63 -66, Columns 169- 184 and
- Have an Intent of – preparing for a future job immediately after attending the community college (3) or improving skills for their present job (2) – based on Current Student Intent A1 Item 61, Column 167 and
- Have an Objective of completing a certificate or completing an associate degree – based on Community College Certificate and Degree Objective, A1 Item 21, Column 66.
