If you want a lesson to go smooth when you are incorporating technology into it make sure your students understand all the terminology associated with the lessons and that they can do the task you are asking them to complete.
When you are choosing technology for adult learners, as Sarah said, you must make sure they have basic computer skills. When you have established ability with emails and word processing, you can move on to higher level writing skills like resume creation. The content you choose will ideally be based on students’ needs and objectives. For example, if a student needs more listening practice, I would direct him to esl-lab.com.
