Being a chemistry teacher, technology has really allowed all level of learners to be able to approach the content. Simulation programs like PHET allow students to get a hands on visual approach to labs, and lab equipment that allows students to collect data with technology makes them gain experience with using technology and also being able to analyze and apply results. I feel as though as we progress in understanding technology and its role in education, content like chemistry will be easier for all students to approach and prepare students for secondary education by using higher levels of technology.
Technology allows teachers to individualize instruction in the ESL classroom, where the level of the students’ exposure to formal education and the degree to which they use English on a daily basis varies considerably from student to student.
