Technology is mainly used to enhance teaching by providing a variety of different ways to learn. Most students now are familiar and comfortable using technology on their smart phones, and I have used this base to help with collaboration and a sense of community. My ESL students have made a What’s App group to be able to communicate with each other and to discuss events that take place in class. We play online games such as Kahoot, and watch pertinent Youtube videos. Technology not only is beneficial to learning, but can be fun as well.

I believe technology plays a great part in teaching nowadays.
I teach beginners ESL classes, so I can’t use hi tech but I have made a small whatsap group and I send videos from Youtube for them to watch and learn and then in the class we thoroughly discuss those language improving videos.
