Closed captioning can provide multiple means of representation to learners and make learning more accessible. Whether learner are learning a new language, increasing vocabulary, have difficulty hearing, or prefer to see and read over hearing, closed captioning gives a layer of assistance. When you present in Google slides, you can turn on automatic captions to display speaker’s words in real time. Also, Zoom has recently made closed captioning available, and it works rather proficiently. Make sure to instruct learners how to turn them on or off depending on their preferences.
