The pandemic has created a unique set of challenges for adult education providers across the state in recruiting adult learners. What’s one solution to low enrollments? The ICCB is leading a statewide campaign and capacity building initiative to support student recruitment.
The collaboration includes an advisory committee with leaders from adult education programs from community-based organizations, Regional Offices of Education and community colleges that represent all sizes of programs throughout the state. Other Advisory members include WIOA Title 1 partners and the Professional Development Network.
The role of the advisory committee is to provide input and insights to the project’s marketing firm, Full Capacity Marketing, about the value-add solutions needed to address adult learner recruitment during COVID-19. The project deliverables include communication templates and tools, digital advertising and professional development webinars to help improve student recruitment and enrollment efforts.
Advisory committee members attend a total of four meetings from October 2021 through January 2022 and are currently in the research phase of the project which culminates with a campaign name and consistent messaging that resonates with all types of adult learners.
