Career pathways are coherent, articulated sequences of rigorous academic and career and technical courses, beginning in the ninth grade and leading to an industry recognized certificate, credential, associate or baccalaureate degree, and beyond. Career Pathways are particularly similar to programs of study, as defined by Perkins; however, they provide a more holistic approach to career and technical education pathways and encompass all students, including adult learners.
